This includes the fascist invasion and occupation by Italians. The rise and fall of Emperor Haile Selassie as well as revolution. Born in Gondar Ethiopia in 1916 , she married off at age 8 to a man twenty years her senior. You get a sense of the strength of her character and an insight into her turbulent life. This is a memoir that I’m enjoying so far. Ethiopia is a landlocked country located in East Africa.
